Auto Workshop MOT Test Centre is conveniently located just off Northfields Avenue in Ealing.

All cars, three years old and over, require a valid MOT certificate by law. The MOT test checks that your vehicle meets road safety and environmental standards, and involves checking approximately 150 items across the following categories:

• Brakes
• Lamps, reflectors and electrical equipment
• Steering and Suspension
• Tyres and road wheels
• Seat Belts and restraint systems
• Body, structure, chassis
• Exhaust, fuel and emissions
• Drivers view of the road / visibility
• Registration Plate

An MOT lasts for a year, and the date it expires is printed on the current MOT certificate. Your vehicle can be submitted up to 28 days before the test is due and still maintain the anniversary of the current test.

If your vehicle has had the previous year’s MOT done by us, we will send you a reminder by post when your expiry date is approaching.

You cannot drive your vehicle on the road if the MOT has run out and you can be prosecuted if caught. The only exception is to make a verifiable pre-arranged booking to drive it to the MOT Test Centre. You can be fined up to £1,000 for driving a vehicle without a valid MOT.

The last MOT test of the day at Auto Workshop is at 4.45 Monday – Friday and 12.15 on Saturdays.
